Package Manager "Failed to Authenticate" when connected by RDP

Hello. I am connecting to Manjaro 20 xfce via RDP and when I try to download something using the add/remove programs, I simply get authentication failed. No pop up even appears for password.
The problem does not occur if I am directly using through a monitor.
Any solution to this?

I would think the answer is lying in the xrdp setup - in your case there is no polkit daemon running as required by pamac.

When connected directly you have logged in the usual way and the polkit daemon is running

Amend you setup to ensure the polkit daemon is running or use the command line
