I don’t know about screwed but your system is a laptop with Intel Nvidia combo so am fairly certain that one of the other will work.

On Manjaro it is possible to use dkms - but it is recommended to use the precompiled drivers matching the kernel in use.
But I am guessing that you have mucked so much around with your system that it would be very difficult to be able to help troubleshooting the system.
As you can see from other members, the Manjaro kernel and either the 570xx or the 575xx will work for your system.
As a footnote - Manjaro Team’s kernel and Nvidia driver maintainer refuse to release the 580xx series to stable branch, as he says
575xx is reasonable, for xfce users 580xx is bad news
therefore - no 580xx driver on Manjaro - not even dkms.
If you really must - there is always AUR - and then you are on your own.
