Hi. I have a problem when I try to open any text file, for example with mousepad, from the open button of the program. The open window to find the files occupies the entire screen, but not a single letter there. I have nothing to select. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.
Maybe the open dialog window is huge in your case and - since it’s a floating window - that’s the reason for occupying the entire screen.
You could try to specify the minimum and maximum dimensions of floating windows as described in the i3 User’s Guide:

Don’t forget to restart i3 after making the changes in your config file.

Hi. Thanks for helping. I was finally able to fix it. With the key combination mod + f they are automatically resized. Greetings
