Open file dialog cause freeze when i start typing (search/filtering function)

desktop environment: XFCE 4.16

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. running XFCE, in an third party app trigger a file browser to open/select a file from HDD
  2. go to some directory. Start typing, it triggers search box, first letter is typed into it, but then the file browser window freeze for tens of seconds (maybe permanently, i have not tried), so one click Cancel in the window and after maybe 15 seconds window disappear. Happen in all folders. I do not think it was happening before (maybe 1 month ago).

When running “dstat” linux command i do not see any anomaly in disk, swap, memory, load, network activities.
