Failed to build android-studio

I don’t spot a similar issue being reported, though the package has been updated only a week ago.
Try building it the proper way, and if that fails too, report it upstream.

custom packages are unsupported.

As long time developer - believe me when I tell you - the most uncomplicated method is to use the Jetbrains Toolbox app.

Android studio builds upon the IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition.

The buildscript from AUR inistalls into /opt and will create other issues at a later stage e.g. when you want to download SDK and images.

The checksum exists for things like corrupted downloads or a change from the source, one of them seems to happen to you. Just check yourself which one actually happens. In any case, you can always edit the PKGBUILD and change the checksum to SKIP, but if the downloaded .tar.gz is corrupted it will still fail to build eventually.

Or update the hash check using the command updpkgsums
