One by Wacom (CTL-672) ignored by the system

Hello.

I’m really new to Linux and wanted to ask if anyone knows how to fix an issue I’m having with my graphics tablet.

I’m using a One by Wacom (CTL-672) and no matter what i do, it doesn’t work.

At this point I’ve read a lot of forum posts about people having problems with their graphics tablets and the most recommended solution seems to be to install the 3 drivers provided by the Linux Wacom Project.

I’ve installed them (they were actually preinstalled if I remember correctly) but nothing helps.

xsetwacom --list devices returns nothing and the tablet isn’t listed in xinput

Any idea on how to fix this?

I’m using the Gnome version of Manjaro (5.15.60-1-MANJARO)

Not sure if this is relevant, but Manjaro is installed on an external SSD, my internal drive runs Win10.

There’s nothing wrong with the tablet itself, it works fine in Windows.

That means you installed the xf86-input-wacom, but are you sure you are not running wayland session? Check from terminal with:
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE

Also, once you boot and if the tablet is connected, you have to reconnect it, or restart the shell.

Manjaro Gnome: WacomOne Display Tablet uses wrong monitor, I mean it used all monitors

Hello, Once you start using the tablet, and if you are using the X11 session, press Alt+F2 and then type inside that small window the letter r and then press Enter Now the Pointer should be under the Stylus. I have the same issue here with Cintiq22HD, but i only use two monitors and my config for xorg is a fixed layout. Using xsetwacom commands together with the settings will interfere one with the other, as their settings are stored in different places.

But from what i gather the CTL-672 is Wacom One version 2 …
You might have to install input-wacom-dkms-git from AUR, but first you have to install the linux headers for your running/installed kdernel/kernels.
The following command will install the linux-headers automatically for all installed kernels but you are better using a LTS kernel:

sudo pacman -S $(pacman -Qsq "^linux" | grep "^linux[0-9]*[-rt]*$" | awk '{print $1"-headers"}' ORS=' ')

Reboot and then run:
pamac build input-wacom-dkms-git
Reboot again and test the tablet.

I typed echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE and got x11

Then I entered the command you typed to install the linux-headers but after about 2 minutes or so everything seems to have a 404 error

Ok, seems you need to refresh mirrors and also fully update the system. Run this from terminal:
sudo pacman-mirrors -f5 && sudo pacman -Syyu
Reboot and then do the above …

I updated the system and then installed the linux-headers and the tablet now works correctly, including the pressure sensitivity.
