OEM logo instead of plymouth

I’m on ASUS TUF FX505GT, and while booting up I can see the OEM logo. But, I don’t want that. I need a Plymouth animation to play instead

Have you checked options in your firmware (BIOS/UEFI)? Sometimes it can be disabled from a not so obvious entry.

I am sorry, which specific option are you talking about?

It depends on the hardware’s firmware. As neither @Wollie nor I have an Asus, we can’t tell you. Please consult your hardware’s UEFI documentation to disable the manufacturer’s logo…

To be specific, I am not talking about the OEM logo that shows up as soon as I boot. I am talking about the boot animation instead. My screen shows up OEM logo, then blanks out for a while then again shows up the ASUS logo which is similar to the logo seen above. Also, at times while powering off the boot animation shows up. Another noticeable thing is boot animation flashes for a while before the ASUS logo comes up instead of the boot animation.

If you want Plymouth then install and configure it.

What you see is the Manjaro default for UEFI systems. A silent Grub and the Vendor Logo until the DM takes over. Manjaro does not support Plymouth. However if you want to use it, you can install it.

You might want to read

I would try adding “fbcon=nodefer” to your LINUX KERNEL LINE at grub  might help

EDIT: someone already posted this O:) didn’t see
