Nvidia proprietary driver + radeon gpu not possible?

Hello!

I recently had to switch to a nvidia card and use the proprietary driver to get hdmi-2.1 for my 8k TV, but now no displays connected to my radeon GPUs are detected.
Is the proprietary NVIDIA driver the reason or is it something else?

The radeon cards are still detected as usual in lspci or dmesg.

Thank you!

update: had to add radeon device to xorg.conf with driver “modesetting” which turned it into a “receiver” for nvidia prime.

please post some basic informations, without it’s simle guessing

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

post the output, use the function “preformatted text” and paste it inside.

Solved:

I simply had to add a radeon device in xorg.conf with driver “modesetting” which turned it into a “receiver” for nvidia prime.

I am using the nvidia driver directly from nvidia.com, not manjaro’s packages, because i had to do a lot of trial and error to get 8k working and i wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

Btw. 8k/60Hz requires 2 “heads” of the nvidia card so it basically disables 1 of the 4 ports.

Thanks!
