try this command:
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && sudo pacman -Syyu
did that
worked fine (as far as i can tell)
so its updating?
it says that my system is up-to-date
try running again:
pamac update
worked
mhwd kernel -li
Currently running: 5.15.28-1-MANJARO (linux515)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
* linux515
go to system settings/ manjaro settings/ kernel and post the screenshot of it
interesting, this shows that youre running the latest kernel, the command mhwd-kernel -li
shows that youre running the older kernel…
try running this command:
sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300
> Skipping already installed config 'video-hybrid-amd-nvidia-prime' for device: 0000:01:00.0 (0300:10de:1f99) Display controller nVidia Corporation TU117M
> Skipping already installed config 'video-hybrid-amd-nvidia-prime' for device: 0000:05:00.0 (0300:1002:1636) Display controller ATI Technologies Inc Renoir
everything looks good, im out of ideas…
probably because he does not reboot after update?
i’ll be back after reboot
ok i restarted, what now?
Currently running: 5.15.32-1-MANJARO (linux515)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
* linux515
try installing the lates kernel 517
sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux517
then reboot and select it in grub menu
what is the grub menu?
the boot menu on boot time. Type ESC to make it visible.
did that and selected it
now on the new one, looked in the kernel options
so youre now running 5.17? if yes, try running a game and check the performance
