Ist die externe Festplatte defekt?

Hallo!
Ich habe ein Problem mit einer WD Mybook 4 T.
Manchmal geht sie einfach aus oder es gibt Probleme beim Datenschreiben - so das es zum Datenverlust kommt.

Ich hatte einiges vom Rechner auf die externe Platte kopiert und es kam eine Fehlermeldung, mit einer Auswahl, unter anderem zum überspringen des Vorgangs. Ich wählte es und es fehlen nun über 30 Dateien.

Ich habe mal ein eine Diagnose mit GSmartControl laufen lassen und folgendes bekommen:

Leider finde ich dort nichts was mir dieses Phänomen erklären würde, es scheint alles Ok zu sein.

Hat von euch schon einmal jemand so etwas gehabt?

… nicht mal der Versuch einer Diagnose Deines Problems, aber:
Du hast ja nur kopiert
die originalen Daten sind also ziemlich sicher noch vorhanden
(fehlen also nicht wirklich, sind nur aus welchen Gründen auch immer auf dem Zielgerät nicht angekommen).

… Du hast ja offenbar (aufgrund irgendeiner Meldung) einiges übersprungen bzw autorisiert, daß gewisse Dinge übersprungen werden werden …

Es ist richtig das ich das Überspringen autorisiert habe aber die Daten wurden im Quellverzeichnis gelöscht und sind im Zielverzeichnis angekommen.
Da ich nicht weiß woran es liegen könnte dachte ich es wäre in den Smartdaten, des Ziellaufwerks, zusehen.

Ich muß jetzt leider Schluß machen da ich morgen früh raus muß.

aber selbst dann hätte es nicht vorkommen dürfen, daß die Quelle gelöscht wird obwohl das Ziel nicht erfolgreich erstellt werden konnte - aus welchen Gründen auch immer.

Wenn ich gewußt hätte das es Probleme gibt hätte ich sie aufgeschrieben und ja, du hattest recht ich hatte verschoben ( ausschneiden und einfügen ) da ich die Daten noch einmal erstellen muß ist es zwar ärgerlich, wird aber als Lehrgeld verbucht.
Was mich aber mehr interessiert ist die externe Festplatte und ob ich sie noch weiter nutzen kann oder doch eine neue besorgen muß.

Na mal gut, daß die Daten nicht wirklich verloren sondern wiederherstellbar sind.

Weshalb Deine externe Festplatte agiert … wie sie agiert … dazu kann ich nichts sagen.
Dazu fehlen Daten - um andere in die Lage zu versetzen, dies zu analysieren.

Aber auch dazu, welche Daten das sind oder sein sollten, kann ich Dir leider nichts sagen.

vielleicht mal die TLP Konfiguration überprüfen - damit USB Geräte nicht zu schnell oder zu oft “schlafen” geschickt werden
… das sollte aber während eines aktiven Zugriffs auf das Gerät nicht passieren

Eigentlich klappt es auch gut mit den externen Festplatten ( 4 Stück), denn bei den anderen kam ein solches Verhalten auch nicht vor.

Kann es sein das die Firmware defekt ist?

Wer könnte mir den sagen, an welchen, noch nicht gesendeten, Daten man einen Defekt erkennt?
Dann würde ich sie nachliefern.

Ich an Deiner Stelle würde ja versuchen, den Fehler zu reproduzieren - z.B mit nochmaligem verschieben genau der gleichen Daten
(nachdem ich von der Quelle woanders hin eine Kopie gemacht habe)
und dann die Meldung dokumentieren - und was meine Reaktion darauf gewesen ist.

Hörst Du dann dabei ein leises “klack”? Wenn ja, so war es bei einer meinen Platten, kam der totale Ausfall dann nach einer Zeit danach.
