No that’s not, read what you posted. It is missing the beginning and the end, you copied randomly in the middle.
Then that should have installed drivers properly. Come back to command in this post and give the output (but as seen in inxi
, Nvidia module is not loaded so that shouldn’t work).
As I suggested, try the 470 hybdrid driver to see if it works.
That’s all.

That’s not the command I gave inxi -Fazy
not inxi -fazy
Anyway, Nvidia module doesn’t load
It is the open source module nouveau
that loads.
Check journal journalctl -b0 | grep nvidia
My bad.

For a test we could manually blacklist the nouveau
driver (I think it should have been when installing the Nvidia driver with MHWD).
What is the output of cat /etc/modprobe.d/mhwd-gpu.conf
and/or cat /etc/modprobe.d/mhwd-nvidia.conf
before we try to manually blacklist nouveau
?
Well, It’s not the same as before
##
## Generated by mhwd - Manjaro Hardware Detection
##
blacklist nouveau
blacklist ttm
blacklist drm_kms_helper
blacklist drm
options nvidia "NVreg_DynamicPowerManagement=0x02"
So nouveau
is blacklisted but it is loaded instead of Nvidia in your inxi
it makes no sense to me. Seems like you didn’t reboot after installing Nvidia driver.
You can try ad nauseam to install the latest nvidia drivers, hybrid or not … that model is supported by the 455 legacy drivers, or probably 470 drivers… but if that was the case, it should be listed in mhwd -l
Last time I checked it is supported in Nvidia 510 Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver | 510.54 | Linux 64-bit | NVIDIA it is also available in MHWD NVIDIA GPU not working, possibly related to latest driver - #8 by FallingSky_42
But as I also suggested multiple times, yes we should try uninstalling the Nvidia (510) hybrid driver and try the 470 hybrid driver.
Ah, you are correct. Cool then.
The OP has
video-linux
has no place there then, because will always prevent the nvidia one … AFAIK
sudo mhwd -r pci video-linux
Then should force reinstall the
sudo mhwd -f -i pci video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime
I thought as he since then removed Nvidia, rebooted, and reinstalled Nvidia (and nouveau
is blacklisted by MHWD), it should have been all cleared, but it doesn’t hurt to start over once again.
I believe I have rebooted twice, after removing the kernel and installing the driver, but the fact is not.
Now, the GPU and OBS, everything is OK.

Thanks a lot of you guys, and I’m really sorry for taking up your time.
Not sure which post should be selected as Solution. Initial issue was because of kernel 5.13 and 5.14 used. Current selected post is not the Solution in my opinion. But after using kernel 5.15 and removing unsupported kernels, other issue was because of nouveau
being used instead of Nvidia :^\
