NVIDIA Drivers for GPU makes screen black

So the point is when I’m trying to install drivers for GeForce 3060 Ti GDDR6X and reboot PC, screen becomes black.

Worst thing in it is that I tried other distros(Debian, Mint, Fedora) and nothing changed, but on Windows 10 all was fine.

To be honest my knowledge in things like this is minimal, I tried to ask on other forums but nothing helped.

GPU’s fans are not working. System monitor don’t see GPU. $ neofetch can detect GPU. My GPU should have supported drivers for Linux.

If you think you can help and need additional information just ask for it.

Can you post the system info - inxi -Fza ?
Does the system work with the nouveau driver ?

I got no clue what is nouveau driver but I will try to find out

Edit: Graphics: Device-1: NVIDIA GA104 [GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X] driver: nouveau

You can remove the Nvidia driver driver with the settings manager.

I got no NVIDIA drivers right now

Install a swap parition or a swap file, since there is only 16GB available.

And again I got no clue what is swap partition, but after I will do it, what should I do next?

can you paste the output from
mhwd -li -d
please?

also: this page might be helpful:

also maybe this:

installed is the “default grafic driver” that might not work with your GPU

You could try to use the manjaro settings manager to install the “non open” driver for your GPU.
Reboot and press thumbs

Something tells me nothing good will happen but I will try, thanks

Just a heads up

The inxi parameter -F (or --full) is deprecated. Though it may still work for the time being, at some point it will likely be removed altogether.

The following command is generally preferred;

inxi --filter --verbosity=8

or the short form:

inxi -zv8

Regards.

I don’t know how, but it worked. Why it never worked on Debian and Ubuntu, why drivers never worked with terminal on Manjaro :skull:

Thanks you, without drivers I would just moved to Windows…

If I were to guess, I’d say you were doing something wrong, but I suppose we’ll never know. :smile_cat:
