Nvidia driver for Hp laptop

Using manjaro Archlinux, Plasma version, on my HP laptop,

video driver is not compatible with Davinci Resolve.
I’m running video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-390xx-bumblebee video driver.

Can I safely install video-nvidia-390xx driver with the Manjaro GUI tool ?

Thanks in advance.

Note : video card is Geforce GT740M

What’s the output and what’s your system?

I tried to help FJ-BL.

His computer runs fine, display is ok with video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-390xx-bumblebee video driver.

But one App : Davinci Resolve gives a warning message : incompatible Gpu, and it’s window closes.
It’s probably due to the intel part of the bumblebee driver.

Can we replace the bumblebbe driver by the video-nvidia-390xx driver ?
If yes, can we use the Manjaro GUI tool or should we use the terminal, typing
sudo pacman -S nvidia
frorm a tty console ?

A quick search reveals that the driver is too old to be supported by Davinci Resolve. Unfortunately, the GPU doesn’t support any newer drivers.

Thank you for your answer !
