Getting a strange error here when I try to start a backup. I am definitely using the correct password:
Error processing remote file (duplicity-inc.20231019T035305Z.to.20231107T001927Z.manifest.gpg): GPG Failed, see log below:
===== Begin GnuPG log =====
gpg: decrypt_message failed: Unknown system error
===== End GnuPG log =====
any ideas what could be wrong?

Maybe contribute with some of your logs to this: GPG and encrypt-key (#414) · Issues · World / Déjà Dup Backups · GitLab
Seems gpg should not be used anyway.
Found really old threads mentioning that stuff can break if you type the wrong password once, did you do that?
What version are you using? The one in extra, the AUR or flatpak version?
I am using the one in extra and it is up to date.
It is very possible I may have typed in a wrong password. I never would have thought that could be an issue.
Thanks

I’m not saying that IS the reason, I just did a quick search and there were some old threads mentioning being locked out after entering the wrong password once.
I spent all of 5-10 mins on this, so do not take my word for anything.
Its all good, I understand there could be many reasons but I had never considered yours so thanks for suggesting it.
