There must be an AUR for that lol
NVIDIA seems to provide their own (tested?) PPA for Ubuntu already.

May try it out once I receive my Razer laptop.

thanks for supplying directions to the next rabbit hole i'll be falling in to. looks like fun. :+1:

I can check with #canonical to see what is needed to get this going. No problem. Those are the needs.

Wow I am ready to try this anytime. Sounds like a good replacement of Bumbleweed. Let's prime it and get high[er numbers of fps].

If only there was a mechanism to swap x-server versions... :upside_down_face:

It might come even earlier..

Oh yeah, baby. At least finally 1st party support for proper hybrid graphics. It's a good thing, I'll wait.

Nvidia already have a patched Xorg package in a PPA.

Kind of depends whether we want to look after a patched Xorg 1.20 stack...

The guy has a PKGBUILD

I mean, it's not all black and white?
They developed GLVND, HMM, and all those splendid contributions to Tegra.

We currently get in contact with Nvidia to elaborate.

@philm @jonathon Hi Guys :wink:

Wait... Nvidia actually actively doing something for desktop Linux? :exploding_head:

They freed up details for programmers about recent architectures (except lastest Turing - they want release it later).

I have to You big question/request: Manjaro will support via MHWD sript chaintool PRIME NATIVE after release proper packages/patches?

I back after long pause - Linux refixed ASUS issues (so far) Regards.

Well we even have now hardware manufacturers helping us out. So it should be no big deal to tackle this.

I guess this Nvidia driver and Xorg patch does not have reverse prime for HDMI output, right?

I got the precise instructions from Nvidia and will post them after we had established all the needed parts.

I have been waiting for this so many years, finally laptop support will feel complete in Linux. I hope support for this will arrive soon, I will switch back to unstable to help test it once its available.
Hopefully situation with patched xorg will be figured out soon.
