The passwords for my user and keyring are the same. What could I try?

Assuming the gnome-keyring daemon is working… Are you using autologin?
Meaning, if you are not entering your password each time you log in (recommended), it’s a common issue that the user password is not syncing with your keyring manager.
If that is the case, try disabling autologin and updating the password.
