Not able to make work any gamepad

Hi, this is my first post, so I hope making this right.
I’m new in the linux community, I made the change frome Windows 2 days ago. I’m trying Manjaro, and all works perfectly fine, except I can’t make any gamepad to work on my laptop.
Any advise is welcome, I’m pretty noob, thank you!

I am trying the gamepad, and Manjaro detects it and it works in Big Picture mode in Steam, seems that it doesn’t work with games through Proton (tried with Dark Souls 3 and doesn’t work, but Steam even gives me that “Controller Configuration” prompt while starting the game)
So what can I do?
Thank you for the help

You use Steam? With Steam is the easiest way to config a gamepad. Just run the big picture mode the gamepad configuration and done

I just configured it in big picture mode as you said, but it stills doesn’t work. Any other things that I could do?

Finaly I reinstalled Manjaro, seems to work now (I have to test it with gamemode enabled, but with steam and Proton Experimental worked out of the box). I’ll tell you how it’s going, thank you for your help

Fully working with gamemode
