Not able to login back after auto screen lock

Hi guys, I’am new in manjaro… arriving from ubuntu, and it’s derivatives such as xubuntu, lubuntu, kubuntu for 15 years and finaly 5 years with linux mint, …and attracted by rolling updates of ARCH strategy and AUR, I give a try to manjaro.
It looks well, and AUR is really full of new software. Anyway, I am struggling so many troubles with manjaro…
somewhere from troubles:

  • right after installation, where I was loosing panel (fixed by update),
  • than pain to install virtualbox under kernel58, finaly decided to use kernel54 which is LTS
  • freezing FortiClient on connecting.
  • and finally with broken kernel58 mostly probably by trying to tweak with vbox, but more or less I found always a solution there or there…

Except for this one strange case of locking me out from my opened session.
After period defined for auto locking of screen… Sometimes (not all the times) happens, that there is no login screen, so I’am not able to re-enter into my previous session. I see my lock screen picture, and mouse pointer can move, but no way to bring login field to enter my password.
I found …let say emergency workaround to bring command line by CTL+ALT+F7 and than by typing “startx” I am able to open “probably” new/next instance of my desktop env., but no apps is open there.
Seems that all my previously opened apps are running in the background and I can see them in “task manager” but have no way to bring them back to my freshly started DE. I found some similar topics in this forum, but it was related to graphic drivers mostly for nvidia or AMD. Not my case with internal intel graphic.
So if somebody has some idea, I’ll be glad to try…
I’ve tried other kernels as well, but like it is occasional, I am not able to surely say, it is related to kernel54 or others…
For detail see my inxi here.

Hi all, in the meantime, I’ve made some more tests, but not able to reproduce “lockout problem”.
From yesterday I’ve installed also LTS-kernel54’s update, so I will see.
Anyway, if somebody is facing the same troubles, thanks to share it here.

My new inxi here:
