just did a fresh install of the latest stable version of manjaro gnome.
Sound isn’t working from speaker, but is working from jack.
This laptop seems to be supported in arch wiki (can’t post link).
Also, alsa-firmware, sof-firmware and alsa-ucm-conf are also already installed from manjaro.

Ok I just reread the thread, this laptop already has S3 (deep sleep) enabled so I dont need to enable it with a patch.
I tried the second portion to have the sound working after playing a song and doing a sleep-to-ram, and this doesn’t seem to work.
Im also realizing that this laptop might not be suited for linux if this bug isn’t getting fixed (which I read on the thread), so I might just return it while I still can
