did you try switching between X11/Wayland yet?
You may know, you can do that with the login screen, there is a button at the bottom left of your screen.
Well, we ship a lot of updates to many branches of Manjaro. Are you on the Stable branch? Maybe check the /var/log/pacman.log to see which packages got updated on your end and let us know.

No way to select Wayland under selections.

What you mean with no way to select Wayland? Isn’t the selection button there?
Do you have a Timeshift snapshot before you did the update?
