“No output or input devices” for audio?

Good afternoon!

I freshly installed Manjaro yesterday, coming from Ubuntu prior. It’s on a HP Envy 13 laptop.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to enable sound, when I go to the volume button on the system tray I get the message “No output or input devices”. I’ve searched the error but can’t find much help. Slightly new to Linux by the way but eager to learn :slight_smile: I’m mostly using this as a Pure Data machine so I’m sure I’ll run into more audio issues when I get round to that… but having some sound output would be a good start! :smiley:

Okay, this problem seems to have solved itself after coming back to it the next day. Maybe a few boot cycles did the trick… never mind! Now to continue exploring this distro :slight_smile:
