I was updating and installing some new packages in my system and after I decided to reboot I got this prompt. GRUB was working fine and I guess this is something wrong with my system installation.
INIT: version 2.88 booting INIT: No inittab file found Enter runlevel:
What I have found searching was this inittab file is part of a deprecated system and this error doesn't make much sense. I did what the guys at this post post suggested (I used my live USB to chroot in and update everything via pacman, ran
update-grub and I even installed a new kernel). With no success.
So should I give up and reinstall or is there something else I can do to fix it?
Thanks for the help!
