No Graphic Display on Boot

Hi there

To free up storage on my system partition, I removed some installed packages using pamac (packages which I didn’t think were needed :grimacing:). Now I have no graphical display or XWindows. I am able to login and run commands at the command prompt, however.

The Kernel is 5.4.74-1-MANJARO x86_64. Can I simply use pamac to re-install X11/GUI packages to resolve this?

Thanks.

What packages did you remove? You can check with:

cat /var/log/pacman.log | grep removed

Hi Yochanan

Thanks for your prompt response, and for showing me how to check what packages had been removed. I discovered that I had removed LightDM. I reinstalled the LightDM packages and my system is up and running again :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks again.
