No Audio Devices After Update [Pipewire]

Hi. Just updated Manjaro recently and found that it doesn’t even detect my built in laptop speakers anymore, let alone my Bluetooth earbuds. Here’s some more info for my system.

Same here, no more audio device after upgrade

And I thought some part of my h/w had failed, but my audio has failed too after updating.

i did that:

mv /etc/pipewire /tmp
sudo pacman -S pipewire pipewire-pulse pipewire-media-session

ps aux|grep pipewire
1815 0.4 0.0 106236 10008 ? S<Lsl 19:03 0:00 /usr/bin/pipewire-pulse

2025 0.1 0.0 90116 10720 ? S<sl 19:03 0:00 /usr/bin/pipewire-media-session

kill -9 1815 2023 2025

Audio become up again, even after a reboot

Problem solved for me anyway. Solution found on After update: Audio device gone, desktop background white - #2 by sundbp

This helps me: sudo cp /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/media-session.conf.pacnew /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/media-session.conf And i also copying this: sudo cp /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/alsa-monitor.conf.pacnew /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/alsa-monitor.conf

Thanks everyone. Pasting the solution here for convenience.

Instead of reinstalling anything, just go into /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/ and move the *.conf.pacnew files to .conf files (replacing the old ones). It does the trick just like every time.
