New windows does not get activated on active screen

Hello everyone,

after switching from X11 to wayland new windows will only appear on the primary screen, but not on the active screen anymore. I’m using currently 3 screens.

During research, I’ve found the setting ‘Active screen follows mouse’, which should change this behaviour, but sadly not on my configuration. :frowning:

What am I doing wrong?

Edit:
Ok, this misbehaviour seems to only have an affect on a few applications, like Kontact, KRunner and Yakuake? Other applications like Firefox do get activated on the active (correct) screen?! I’m confused :confounded:

Thanks in advance

Wayland and KDE don’t work well together yet, so applications that work well under Gnome (Firefox) are better than native KDE applications.

So unless you’re a developer, and want to spend time on contributing code to the KDE Wayland project: Stay away from it until it becomes the default

:man_shrugging:

Thank you.

Then I’m going with X11 instead
