New updates have killed the system [2025 Sept 26th]

I’m guessing I should retest by installing latest updates w/o the:

NoExtract = etc/grub.d/25_bli or chmod -x /etc/grub.d/25_bli having been applied?

I assume when I install the updates, it will trigger the rebuilding of /boot/grub/grub.cfg automatically w/o me needing to do anything extra?

Edit:
Ok, I’ve installed the latest updates, which included grub and install-grub.

grub versions from /var/log/pacman.log:

[2025-09-30T08:41:26+0100] [ALPM] upgraded grub (2:2.12.r359.g19c698d1-3 -> 2:2.12.r382.gee789e1a-2)
[2025-09-30T08:41:26+0100] [ALPM] upgraded install-grub (2:2.12.r359.g19c698d1-3 -> 2:2.12.r382.gee789e1a-2)
[2025-09-30T08:41:29+0100] [ALPM] upgraded update-grub (2:2.12.r359.g19c698d1-3 -> 2:2.12.r382.gee789e1a-2)

I have then checked for whether /boot/grub/grub.cfg was regenerated - it was, and it contained uncommented insmod bli module load (as opposed to commented before).

After this I’ve performed the reboot, and the system has booted just fine.

Seems like the issue has been resolved.

@philm Thanks for the update on the issue!
Also, huge thanks to everyone who contributed to helping to get this figured out and resolved!
