USB ports not working after last update

Hi, after doing the last update and rebooting, my USB ports are not working. When I connect different mouse devices I have, they don’t even power up (laser remains off under the mouse) and not recognised… A blue yet microphone does power up, but is not recognised by the system. USB thumb drives are not recognised.

Intrestingly when I run lsusb I get:

Which means the ports are working, the mouse is recognised but a) the mouse is powered off (laser is off underneath the mouse), and b) not working

EDIT: I get the same lsusb output when I disconnect the mouse, so not sure if that command output is accurate

EDIT2: Also the Bluetooth is not working anymore!

Please read this:

Especially the Linux has multiple kernels section, then try an LTS kernel and hopefully the problem will go away “automagically”. :grin:

Yep, it did. Downgraded to 5.13.19-2-MANJARO and everything is working again. Interesting that there are regressions so late into a kernel cycle.

You did not read the guide, did you??? :angry:

because that would perfectly explain this:

  • Kernel 5.13 is EOL so please install both 5.4 and 5.10 LTS (Long Term Support) and see which one of the two troubles you least.

I am facing same issue after last update. I tried shifting to LTS kernal but problem is still there but for some reason when my laptop plugged into power source and i reboot everything seems to works fine but on battery issue is still there , nor my usb ports are working neither my bluetooth :frowning:

Are you guys using tlp?

If so, this might the problem:

Actually the problem still persists. It worked yesterday after downgrading to LTS kernel, but today after suspend/resume the problem is back. USB ports not working, Bluetooth not working.

Tried rebooting, nothing

After @moson’s post, I did find that tlp was installed in my system, uninstalled it, rebooted, and fixed the problem.

I have the same issue. Downgrading tlp to 1.3.1 solves it.
