Better start a separate thread about that, then — under Support > Graphics & Display . ![]()
I have tried that already and got zero response
Also weird was, that protonplus and coolercontrol was not available in the packetmanager, while it is still on my original install.
Perhaps the thread was overlooked in the busy feed, or perhaps there wasn’t enough information in your thread to go, on and people decided that they don’t want to have to ask for details over and over again — I don’t know; I’m only listing possibilities. ![]()
Either way, you should then revisit your thread, if it is still open. You can add that restoring your backup did not remedy the problem. Someone will undoubtedly take it from there then.

They might have been dropped to the AUR, or maybe that was where you had installed them from in the first place. ![]()

I tried octopi as well and afair that app looks on aur without the need for any settings changes.
Tbh. I never know what output is useful for the current problem that is why I am mostly not posting one.

It only scans the AUR for the packages in question if you click the
icon.
Either way, coolercontrol and protonplus are indeed available from the AUR.

Well, with an attitude like that, don’t expect too many people to jump on your threads, then. We are all only unpaid volunteers here, and so if you want people to help you, then you’re going to have to be forthcoming.
There are several posts all over the forum — usually from helpful Moderators and Community Assistants — with tips & tricks on what information to post. The most common output requested is “inxi -zv8”, which will tell us what kernel you’re running, what hardware you have, and what graphics driver is in use.
But again, that’s for the other thread. We only handle one problem per thread and per user at the time, or else things will get too confusing for anyone wanting to search for information on the forum.

I never knew, thanks ![]()
On add/remove I saw now, that you mentioned it, that it is on AUR.
