NetworkManager status failed, but still have connection

I am connected via usb tethering, maybe that’s why, but still odd, and needs solution.
This is new install, so I didn’t do anything to make it happen, it just how it was out of the box, Manjaro Architect minimal install.
When click on nm-applet, text says: No network devices available.

What can try? Thanks :see_no_evil:

Please don’t use images - copy paste the terminal output - select the text and use the Preformatted text option in the comment toolbar.

If you have no network devices available you are probably missing a driver.

Architect is an advanced installer which requires the user to select the appropriate driver.

You can probably find some info for your network adapter using either

$ lspci

$ lsusb

Hi @iamhuman777,

While I don’t know if I’ll be able to help you, I have read your post and can say with confidence that there is not enough information to diagnose the problem.

Please see How to provide good information

It’ll help everyone to help you.

here is what sudo lspci -v says about my ethernet driver:

00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V
DeviceName: Onboard - Ethernet
Subsystem: ASRock Incorporation Device 15b8
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 132
Memory at df100000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
Capabilities: [c8] Power Management version 3
Capabilities: [d0] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
Capabilities: [e0] PCI Advanced Features
Kernel driver in use: e1000e
Kernel modules: e1000e

what to make of this, i do not know much

OK so suddenly after a restart it now works, so i’ll leave it at that. Thanks guyz.
Maybe all it needed was enable NetworkManager.service, and after that do restart… who knows :blush:
