Neofetch and about settings show different things

In neofetch, the gpu and cpu stats are different than if you visit about in the settings app. Why? I’m seriously confused. I don’t know whether I should trust neofetch, or the about in my settings. Manjaro version 21.1, GNOME version (here, again it changes whether it’s neofetch or about) 40.5 (neofetch), 40.4.0 (about). And I’m on Xorg.

Could you post the result of inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width ?

neofetch finds the versions of gnome reading the output of gnome-shell --version

I would trust the output of neofetch

Edit: The about page in settings has some code that I do not understand well enough to find and display the version of Gnome.

It reads it from /usr/share/gnome/gnome-version.xml

Ah typo in the find file :frowning:

$ cat /usr/share/gnome/gnome-version.xml
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<gnome-version>
 <platform>40</platform>
 <minor>4</minor>
 <micro>0</micro>
 <distributor>Arch Linux</distributor>
 <!--<date></date>-->
</gnome-version>%
$ gnome-shell --version
GNOME Shell 40.5

@anon30931146 problably has the same results?

Yes. It says it’s 40.5.
