SDC is now there after I reconnected the SATA Cable

nope… It’s easy to miss a connector when setting up a new system… It’ll remind you to check … next time …

Indeed that would be rather strange…but missing drives are not entirely uncommon.
A loose connection or bad cable can look like a failing or missing drive, and though it’s less likely, the drive or one of the sata controllers could be faulty.
Checking cables and swapping drives around would be the first steps in troubleshooting such issues.
