Nautilus (Files) 43 not loading after the upgrade of python-nautilus to 4.0-1.
I had to downgrade it to an older version to get it working again.
I have no other issues with Gnome 43.

That’s because you have an incompatible Nautilus extension. Remove it. Downgrading is not a solution here.

Which one?

You tell us. Probably all of them. Not many have been ported to the new version yet.

Close all Nautilus windows and completely quit:

nautilus -q

Then run it from the terminal and provide the output here:

nautilus

I found out that it is required by nautilus-admin and nautilus-folder-icons. I can’t delete any of them though because one depends on the other

I moved our posts to a new topic, FYI.

nautilus-admin is compatible, nautilus-folder-icons is not. Remove the latter, make sure you have no ignored packages then do a full update.

I’m the AUR maintainer of nautilus-folder-icons and I made this change on purpose.

Tip: If you miss the functionality of old Nautilus plugins / extensions, use Nemo. Most are available for it.

You 're right. I removed nautilus-folder-icons and nautilus works now!
Thanks a lot!
