My system is slow

I have made a major update of the system two days ago (an old tower with good equipment running on xfce) and it is now inexplicably slow.

The boot process is normal with no apparent problem and some software are opening normally (even blender or gimp) while other are terribly slow (over 40’’ to (re)launch libreoffice, similar for thunderbird or firefox).

I did downgrade the kernel to 5.15, checked the graphical driver (kernel driver in use: nvidia is correct for my hardware) and some of these usual software are starting slow. I did reinstall firefox also to make sure and start time is over 20’’

How should I further investigate this?

This is working indeeed even with the 6.2 kernel reactivated!
Thanks a lot, I hope this will be solved in a further update

journalctl -f was useful for investigating this, when starting Firefox/Thunderbird/etc. it could be seen in the log:

I also use Manjaro XFCE, not GNOME. Removing “xdg-desktop-portal-gnome” fixed the problem. Thank you!
