The laptop is new, with Manjaro fresh install from yesterday…i tried to blacklist intel_lpss_pci module…to add noacpi parameter into grub…and still

Might not be enough space.

Hi @bedna!!! No enough space where??? Thanks

Your swap

There are almost 9 Gb on swap… and 0 Kb used before suspend

How much memory do you have?

16 Gb of RAM…

According to the link I posted:

RAM No hibernation With Hibernation Maximum
       5GB 2GB 7GB 10GB
       6GB 2GB 8GB 12GB
       8GB 3GB 11GB 16GB
      12GB 3GB 15GB 24GB
      16GB 4GB 20GB 32GB

I have no used hibernation…then with 4Gb should be enough…instead i have almost 9…

Then you have to clarify what you mean by “suspension”.

Oh, sorry. Suspension: the temporary prevention of something from continuing or being in force or effect. In this context i refers to the act of suspend the system activity, saving it to RAM…by other hand, hibernation save the system status to disk…
Sorry again…

Ok, so you have completely disabled it going into hibernation?
Because by default, in “sleep” (saving in memory) it by default goes into hibernation after a certain time.
system settings > Power management.

If you have already done that, you need to provide way more info than this, logs from when it happens would be a start.

make it “happen” and then
journalctl --boot=0 -p3 could be a start.

This is a bit above where I feel comfortable to guide more.

Hi @bedna.!! Thanks again!!! No, i have not hibernation disabled…just that i had no use it , yet. I guess thats not the trouble because, i put the laptop into suspension …then…20 or 30 seconds later, i try to wake up the pc and this doesn´t do anything…anything…even pressing the power button…I let you here the output of journalctl --boot=0 -p3:

You might try installing linux61-acpi_call

(Or the ones for your actual kernel.)

why do you have this parameter?

and you are on RAID, instead of AHCI:

and its possible this is causing the suspend issue… dont switch to ahci if you are using windows, otherwise you will not be able to boot into it…

Hi @brahma … Thanks by your answer!!! I really don´t know the reason of that…this is a fresh install of manjaro on a new laptop Asus Expertbook B1500-CEAE, with 512 Gb SSD, 16 Gb Ram…Intel Core I7-1165G7…the installation process was smooth, like allways…i supose to change that to AHCI i have to reinstall again…or not? Thanks again

that noacpi parameter was added by you, so remove it, save grub, update grub:
sudo update-grub
reboot and in eyour bios/uefi change from RAID to AHCI - dont do this if you have windows, otherwise you will not be able to boot into it - and then test suspending…

Hi @brahma!!! Upgrading system solve it, my system works fine now …but i´ll review the matter of RAID to AHCI…About noapic parameter…i remove it too… Thanks!!!
