My KDE theme is Pitch black, but

Firefox, the bookmard menu doesn’t match. I have Windows in high contrast & everything is black. The BM menu is greyish. I would take a shot, but the menu goes awy when I get Spec. up. Got 1 with phone, Sorry it isn’t straight,

Firefox does not follow the system theme — least of all on Plasma. At best, it’ll use some gtk styling queues, but you would normally apply a dedicated Firefox theme from addons.mozilla.org.

Hmmm, well wonder what would do it. High contrast in Win11 forces ll to agree. Oh well, kind of odd. Cool, found a theme to do it.

User just needs the correct configurations and it will ‘follow plasma’ fine.
I dont even have a border separating the panel and maximized windows.
(The lack of border is due to the plasma theme … but the uninterrupted color shows matched styling)

No, it’ll follow gtkfirefox does not use qt (but chromium does have that option) — and considering that my own gtk theme here looks quite different from my Plasma/qt theme, the use of the firefox theme that you yourself are using will yield a different color for the firefox toolbar and address bar, because it will then apply the colors of my gtk theme.

Therefore — and considering OP’s preference for very dark themes, it is a safer option to choose a very dark firefox theme.

Sounds like you did that on purpose?
If not then thats misconfiguration.

kde-gtk-config for example will very much overwrite ~/.gtk* files with plasma colors.
Of course choosing a matching and up to date GTK theme helps - especially if breeze or similar.

If I recall correctly you use kvantum so maybe that is related.

But dont make the mistake of projecting your own system as if it were standards.

There was no suitable gtk equivalent for my chosen Plasma theme, so yes.

Yes. kvantum does not use system colors, but is SVG-based, and will thus use the colors as defined in the kvantum theme. And I suspect — at least, going by earlier related communication with the OP — that the OP also uses kvantum. :man_shrugging:

I don’t, but when it comes to theming, there isn’t much of a standard. There is the default Plasma configuration that Manjaro ships with — Breath, which is based upon the KDE-stock Breeze — but most people either way tend to install and use additional themes.

Incase you want this too, it is. Odsly, the name of the Arch based gaming distro. Minus the gamma. IMO the Mate theme manger was better,
