My Ethernet connection some time don't want to connect

It’s been happening for a long time.
I use Manjaro Stable.
It often happens that when I start the system it has problems connecting to the home network. I use an Ethernet connection, via powerline, connected to a TIM router (the TIM HUB+) which would be my provider.
Sometimes it connects after a long time on its own, other times however, the only way to get it to connect is to unplug and plug the cable behind the PC.
On windows I have no problems, everything works fine.
I wanted to know if I could solve it on Linux.

Thank you

I edit to say: befor i had a static ip setup from the router, and though could be this the problem, so i’ve setup a static ip from network manager, deleting it from the router, but the problem is showed again, however.

Hi @donfabino ,

I wonder whether you could read these posst, in order to solve your problem.
Realtek RTL8111F PCIe Network Card Issues - Slow System Boot & Constant Red Light On Card? - #2 by jrichard326
Random connection drops with LAN and Wifi
Hope it help, regards

As this is a dual-boot system, the first thing to do is make sure Windows hibernation (a.k.a. Fast Startup) is disabled. If it isn’t, it can cause these types of issues.

To that end, in an elevated command prompt (in Windows) issue:

powercfg /h off

…. See if this helps.

I’ve tried the first solution. Seem work for the moment. I will see in future if really work fine.
Thank you for your support.

Anyway, yes, i’ve the windows in dual boot, but i’m secure the fast startup is disabled long time ago :slightly_smiling_face: . it have got me only problem in the past.
I will try powercfg /h off, in each case.

Thank you again, i hope it is resolved
