ms-office-online and Pyside 2 Issue

ms-office-online does not launch. When I try to launch from terminal I get the following error message:

JAK v2.1.1
PySide2 Bindings, JAK_PREFERRED_BINDING environment variable not set.
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/ms-office-online", line 2, in <module>
    from JAK.Application import JWebApp
  File "/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/JAK/", line 20, in <module>
    from JAK.WebEngine import JWebView
  File "/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/JAK/", line 15, in <module>
    from Pyside2.QtCore import QUrl, Qt
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Pyside2'

Basically saying it can't find Pyside2 which has been installed through the GUI package manager and I've reintalled twice to no avail.

Any ideas how to resolve?

I do not know if it helps this is terminal when I open it

You can't mix Python 3.8 and Python 3.7 packages.

Either you use 3.8 or you use 3.7 - if the package is build for 3.8 and you run 3.7 you will get exactly the error.

@linux-aarhus Thanks. I must admit I don't know where the python 3.8 and 3.7 are listed to see any conflicts however I've seen another version from the community and it works so all good now.

We don't maintain the AUR packages so fixes will come to manjaro first.
