Installation displaylink error: Unknown option -title

Hi,

I’ve been trying to install the displaylink driver (besides getting it to work which is a different story). Just the installation of the 5.3.1.34 version. It keeps failing with the following log:

I’m using the 5.9.11-3 kernel, have Gnome, have the headers installed, it chooses the 1.7.3 evdi package… Not sure what else is/could be relevant.

Does it work for others (on a fresh-ish install)?

displaylink is an AUR package.

Thank you very much for the polite answer to a newbie question

I had the same Problem a few weeks ago and ended up installing it with yay. -> “yay displaylink”

It is a know pamac issue, something like spawning a terminal in pamac gui not working
