Mouse starts to flicker and does not register mouse clicks

Hello there,

I’ve been experiencing some weird issues. Sometimes completely random mt mouse starts clicking on its own. It seems that its drawn to the upper right side of my screen.

I’ve tried to switch from kernel 6 to 5 and also changed my video drivers but this does not help.

The process just starts random and then also randomly stops again.

A video can be found here showing the behavior: https://youtu.be/eRTcLwHNouU

It looks like my keyboard and touch screen are still functioning correctly but that my mouse is just behaving weird.

Currently i’m guessing that my trackpad might be malfunctioning or there is something wrong with the driver. I have also been experiencing weird clicks from now and then (I think).

This is my system info:

This does sound like a hardware issue.

hi there,

thanx for the reply!

Do you have any suggestions how i can check this out ? maybe check some error logs ?

Sadly not. I know keyboard inputs can be monitored; i don’t know about mouse input.

I’ve managed to solve the problem by installing fedora… It has not happened since…
