Monitor of No X

I am not sure if I have the right place but well here goes.
My problem is, If I leave my monitor off and start my computer. It never starts lightdm or starts X or logs into cinnamon. When I turn the monitor on it says no signal on display port 1. I can switch to a tty and the screen recognises that as a valid signal.
My current solution is to turn the monitor on then start my computer.

Nvidia, KDE, same problem, also occur when wake up from sleeping sometimes.
I’ve asked it on the forum several times, but no better solution than yours.
For kernel 6.0 and the corresponding nvidia driver, it becomes worse…

At least what I can say:

  1. Using Gnome3 and GDM
  2. Wake up from suspend or booting when screen is off produce no problems.
  3. Being on unstable branch with latest nvidia drivers. Linux 5.15 or linux 6.0.9
  4. It is a GTX 1050 connected via DisplayPort.

Generally your journal or the xorg log should reveal an issue somewhere.

I don’t think I’ll worry about it.
