The Known Issues and Solutions wiki post in recent [Testing Update] announcements has been updated to include changes to ArchWiki

To disable fallback image creation on older installed systems

ArchWiki - Mkinitcpio - Fallback intramfs generation

• Change PRESETS=('default') line to PRESETS=('default' 'fallback') in the respective .preset files in /etc/mkinitcpio.d/.
• Regenerate initramfs
• Update your boot loader configuration.

Actually, the information above is incorrect. In order to disable initramfs generation, PRESETS=('default' 'fallback') should be changed into PRESETS=('default'), not the other way around.
