Missing unrar man page

Hello everyone,
I am a new user from ubuntu, I feel that it often seems to miss something after installing a package comparing to ubuntu. unrar is one of them.
I have unrar command now, but there is no man page. When I run man unrar, it says No manual entry for unrar.
How can I install man page for unrar? I have the man page for unrar on ubuntu.

Hm. Good catch. unrar is an executable from its own package and should have a man page like:
https://linux.die.net/man/1/unrar
(especially since it has no --help flag or similar)
But I can confirm it does not on my system either

Looking a bit upstream it seems missing too:
https://man.archlinux.org/search?q=unrar&go=Go

The package has no man page because the developer of the program did not created one. In the Arch World something like this should be crated by the developer of the program and not by the packager.

This is different in the Debian world. The package contains a man page there, because the packager or someone form the Debian world created one.

The Autor section from https://linux.die.net/man/1/unrar gives it away.

This manual page was written by Petr Cech <cech@debian.org> according to “unrar -h” for the Debian GNU/Linux system (but may be used by others).

Ah - another good catch.

funny too because that is not a viable command

I simply used the link https://linux.die.net/man/1/unrar and copied the text.

The current man page uses a different command.

Also for the OP. You can use the man page form the Debian project, just make sure it is still correct. It might be a little bit behind.

aha! didnt try that one.
