Can anyone suggest how to install python2-dbus dependency which is required by an AUR package - Avogadro 1.2? I have tried using dbus-python instead but that did not work and python2-dbus is not available in any Arch repos and AURs as well.
python2-pyqt4 package has python2-dbus as a dependency.
So the issue is with this package not having updated it’s dependencies. Was last updated in January.
It’s an AUR package, so not much we can do about it.
Qt4 and Python2 are pretty old toolkits at this point. Maybe Avogadro should port to something newer. 
Also, Avogadro’s last release was in 2016…
You could try installing the Flatpak version…
