Missing ethernet Qualcomm E2400 driver / slow download and upload

Hello,

I’ve been using Manjaro for a while now but the system always felt slugish when connecting trough google remote desktop.

I now pinpointed the problem to a missing ethernet driver, but I can’t seem to connect the dots how to install the driver:

When I run mhwd it can’t find a driver

$ sudo mhwd -a pci free 0200
Warning: No config found for device: 0000:02:00.0 (0200:1969:e0a1) Network controller Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
$ sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0200
Warning: No config found for device: 0000:02:00.0 (0200:1969:e0a1) Network controller Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller

Can someone help me understand how / what I have to do to install it?

According to linux hardware org it should be compattible?

The driver is already installed. It’s included in the kernel.

ok, then why is my download speed 5 Mbit/s?

First, update!

If still no improvement - You could try other kernels.

okay, a simple restart did the trick :slight_smile:
kinda odd that after a few weeks of uptime and updates this happens.

Time to make a crontab that restarts the server every week I suppose :person_shrugging:
