When I put the brightness to the minimum (5), it is still too bright for me. Is there a way to decrease the brightness between 0 and 5 but not 0 because 0 is the absolute dark

Make an outline of your monitor’s dimensions. Trace this outline on the tinted plexiglass with a thin-point black marker. Finally, use the back edge (the “duller” side) of a box cutter or switch blade, and keep scoring until the plexiglass snaps cleanly.
Superglue this to your monitor.
