Mhwd - video-nvidia requires package that doesn't exist

Just updated kernel to 5.10 and had to install new video drivers (460+ to replace 390). After installing linux510-nvidia and running mhwd -i pci video-nvidia mhwd returned an error - package linux59-nvidia doesn’t exist. Why does the config reference a package that’s not in the repos? (package lists and mhwd-db are all up to date)

Because you apparently have a package that’s no longer in the repos installed: linux59. Remove it and try again.

Thanks! Removing linux59 and driver reinstall solved the problem.
