MATE lock-screen not responding to laptop keyboard input after resume

Continuing the discussion from Keyboard missing after suspend:
^in case our troubles are related

It has happened within past month of testing updates, i cannot input my password into MATE’s lock-screen after suspend-resume. Problem is apparent on linux41 (my regular kernel), linux49 and linux410 (current kernel for log outputs). I can however use my keyboard to switch between tty shells and restart lightdm service, losing my work obviously.

Problem cannot be reproduced on i3-gaps session which uses xautolock. Here i can suspend-resume and xautolock lets me type my password.

I have attached following three logs in two different scenarios doing boot > suspend > resume

dmesg > dmesg-*.txt
journalctl -b -p 3 > log-*.txt
journalctl -b -p 5 > toomuchlog-*.txt

1. i3-gaps (no problem)

dmesg-i3
log-i3
toomuchlog-i3

2. MATE

dmesg-mate
log-mate
toomuchlog-mate
