Manjaro would not boot - chroot shows everything is there and up to date

wait - so from tty, i ran nvidia-xconfig, which had some output of file missing, rewrote from backup. And now it worked! I am not even sure what worked
I am in the installation now which booted succesfuly - and output to

sddm.service - Simple Desktop Display Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/sddm.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Fri 2020-09-18 09:57:34 EDT; 5min ago
 Docs: man:sddm(1)
            man:sddm.conf(5)

ok config file xorg for nvidia was not created , mhwd do this for the user
if you last action was installing video-linux , that suppress config xorg nvidia and remove nouveau from blacklist conf

i see - so i created it manually, and all was fine - thanks all!

For record - the solution was to fix video driver with

mhwd -i <desired installation>

and then run

nvidia-xconfig

to make sure config file for the right driver is generated.
