#181

Is still alpha, use with caution.

#182

I play only with the iso  in my /miso directory.
@gohlip be thanked :smiley:

#183

Hi @cscs just wondering how was the sound like in my video, as i am trying to get a better quality input?

#184

Hi Vitor… Questions. How can I install and set xbacklight for dim the light of the screen? JaDE supports drop down terminals like yakuake of plasma? Thanks for the beautiful desktop that you created. Greetings.

#185

Never used xbacklight but you have an option in Cairo dock, that does that, go to settings and activate the plugin screen luminosity, any terminal should work the same as in any other edition.

#186

There is no iso download yet, on the off chance that you need to attempt introduce jade-dashboard from the repos

#187

How about adding Mycroft ai to the iso.
As it’s with voice enabled.mycroft ai is very good.
I don’t know how but you can add plasmoid for Mycroft ai.its a good Cortana alternative.
also anbox.it’s my opinion but many people will be interested to try as having a desktop with these features.anbox is in alpha but can work.
These packages are in aur.
To be honest why those rectangular boxes in application menu.why can’t they be live tiles.
Just curious

#188

Everything is in the top of the post.

Here is the link.

#189

Mycroft is very good, you also have a plugin for gnome desktop, anyway Mycroft is in the road map, some effort will be required to disable the online login as that is not needed.

Anbox maybe, is not on the roadmap, I actually had a play with it.

I actually never designed the UI, is just there so it has one, not sure I understand what you mean with live tiles?

#190

Live tiles like the windows 8 or 10
It should not be exactly like that but still somewhat similar
the application menu
that rectangular app icon which shows info about the app
The Sparky Linux also has jade desktop environment but it’s very poorly implemented
They used blackbox as wm
No animation

#191

I will need to give windows a spin as I don’t remember the UI well, some parts are well designed.

Anyway the UI is HTML so anything is possible, probably the future will be card display.

I have not try Sparky, but i will recommend at a minimum XFCE WM.

#192

Is there any way to show three circles showing cpu ram and memory usage on the dashboard

#193

No, that’s not supported.

The UI should only show what the user needs to know, everything else is only clutter.

#194

Maybe a v18.0 respin might be a logic step. Looks really nice so far.

#195

I installed jade ontop of existing kde.
Although this is good but it’s too much limiting
Not able to change wallpaper, not able to add widgets,it’s like it’s not made using mouse in mind but controlled using ir remote of a TV .

It’s not pleasing experience.installing on top of KDE.
No icons shown in dolphin,KDE settings.it doesn’t use qt only gtk apps are shown correctly
All qt apps are converted as gtk.

#196

Please, please read post #1, thank you.

Correct

#197

I’m just telling my experience about installation on kde.i know webdad iso is better than installing on any existing installation.but still I was experimenting but I did go overboard above it’s still in alpha.

this is how dolphin and other qt apps look like

#198

Jade as nothing to do how other applications look like, as it does not modify anything in your system, except add a autostart file.

It looks like you missing a icon theme, that supports Qt.

#199

No its not missing icon theme as I have all qt apps and in plasma those icons are qt.its only jade session in which I face this problem.gtk apps work and look good in jade session but I have only handful of those.

#200

Jade session is not meant to be used with other desktops, only jade-dashboard can, as a self contained application.
