Manjaro-specific packages which need an update

I already use juffed in my lxqt profile.
Perhaps compton-conf in repos would be nice.

Just saying, we shouldn’t use git versions in repos unless necessary.

I agree with @excalibur1234 we should clean up community repo.

menda-panel can probably be removed.

I agree , more packages are old in the repo and not always used … only i don’t know all pkgs really needed

Edit : @artoo Replace you the package, or should I? ( juffed-git with regular juffed )

I you can do, would be great.

If you replace juffed-qt5-git with juffed from AUR you will pull qt4 dependencies. And there is no juffed-qt5 which is not git.
There is a featherpad which is qt5 and not git, version V0.5.8. The version will be probably updated soon, because the git version is from 2 Mar 2017, V0.5.9

I have try to rebuild the juffed pkg in qt5 but i have this error :

– Found PkgConfig: /usr/bin/pkg-config (found version “0.29.1”)
– Checking for module ‘enca’
– Found enca, version 1.19
– Enca includes:
– Enca library dir:
– Enca library: enca;m
– Plugins: all externally linked cmake-ready plugs will be built
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
linked by target “juffed-engine-qsci” in directory /build/makepkg/juffed-qt5/src/juffed

Any idea ?

qscintilla-qt5 and python-qscintilla-qt5 are installed?

Try to add python-qscintilla-qt5 but same error

python2-qscintilla-qt5 ?
Is it juffed-qt5-git from AUR (or equivalent) you are trying to build?

Leave it as is, leave git version, last point release of juffed is from 2013.
You’d have to add patches from git.

It is exactly (as I can see) the PKGBUILD from juffed-qt5-git from AUR

juffed-qt5 seems broken

I can’t confirm all will work but it build

you need to modify in line 55

    SET(QSCINTILLA_NAMES ${QSCINTILLA_NAMES} qt5scintilla2 libqt5scintilla2 libqscintilla2-qt5 qscintilla2-qt5)

to add or change the 2 last names… to change the “-” to “_”
libqscintilla2-qt5 to libqscintilla2_qt5

qscintilla2-qt5 to qscintilla2_qt5

like this

    SET(QSCINTILLA_NAMES ${QSCINTILLA_NAMES} qt5scintilla2 libqt5scintilla2 libqscintilla2_qt5 qscintilla2_qt5)

or like this

    SET(QSCINTILLA_NAMES ${QSCINTILLA_NAMES} qt5scintilla2 libqt5scintilla2 libqscintilla2-qt5 qscintilla2-qt5 libqscintilla2_qt5 qscintilla2_qt5)

it seems until v2.9.5 of qscintilla the lib name from upstream was qscintilla2 and arch/fedora applied a patch to have
qscintilla2(qt4 version) and qscintilla2-qt5
and since V2.10 (since 26.02.2017), upstream changed and now set the name to qscintilla2_qt$${QT_MAJOR_VERSION} and arch don’t apply the patch anymore
it may change again in future… who knows. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you, create a patch and apply . This evening upload in boxit…

Well juffed-qt5 is in unstable and also @FadeMind your bumblebee patch

Is not my. It is upstream :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: What do you mean? @Ste74

 my misunderstanding  :yum:

@Ste74, the package glxinfo is gone from Manjaro repos, I don’t know in which repo it was.

Hi @eugen-b , is a part of mesa-demos pkg … you see here ?

Now pacman file search works, so it is easy:

% pacman -Fs glxinfo
extra/mesa-demos 8.3.0-2
